What's the advantages of Full sticky sublimation paper?

Full sticky sublimation paper is one type of sublimation paper, the difference is that it has a tackified coating. The tackified coating will be activated by heat. After the tackified coating is activated, it will adhere to the textile very firmly, so after the transfer is finished and when you lift the press up, the paper will still firmly adhere to the textile, it prevents the paper and textile from moving, the ghosting will not occur.
The tacky sublimation paper is mostly used in stretch material such as Lycra, the stretch material has a elastic, it is much easier moving during the transfer. But even though you are using the stretch material , doesn’t mean you still need to us tacky sublimation paper, that depends on the heat press machine. it’s the best development for anti-ghosting sublimation paper.
As a Sticky Version with Tack, this specialty paper will adhere to the fabric during transfer which will eliminate ghosting or loss of details due to textile shrinkage or movements in the transfer process.
Therefore, it will help you reduce production errors and increase the quality of end products.
Manufacturers using flat-bed presses will also benefit from the TACK as it eliminates issues such as “floating” when the heat press is opened.
Advantages of sticky sublimation paper:
  • No more defective substrates.(no cloudy patterns & no blurred images)
  • Reduce waste to an absolute minimum.
  • Fast drying time as good as it get.
  • Ideal for sportswear, garment, banner and flag manufacturers.
  • Transfer rate is 95%
  • Eliminate”ghosting issues” caused by paper shifting or fabric shrinkage.

Micro Piezo Technology develop digital printing

The Epson  Micro Piezo print head is at the heart of every Epson inkjet printer. It produces superb color and clarity at high speeds and is central to the changing world of professional and amateur photo printing and print-on-demand business. The print head also helps to minimise impact on the environment because it uses ink very efficiently, places ink droplets with amazing accuracy to prevent wasted paper and lasts the lifetime of the printer.
Extraordinary photographic quality
The new cutting-edge Micro Piezo TFP print head is quite possibly the most advanced ever manufactured, achieving a level of ink placement accuracy that delivers extraordinary photographic quality.

The technical highlights of Micro Piezo TFP:
The world’s highest resolution 1-inch wide high performance inkjet print head with 360 nozzles per channel
Capable of using up to 10 separate ink channels simultaneously
Low vibration meniscus control for highly accurate dot shape
High precision impact-point control for extreme dot placement accuracy
New ink repelling coating dramatically reduces nozzle clogging
Produces variable-sized droplets as small as 3.5 picoliters to greatly decrease print times while optimizing photographic quality
Exotic Thin Film Piezo (TFP) along with Low Vibration Meniscus Control technology precisely controls the curvature of every ink droplet within each nozzle before releasing it onto the media.

How does Micro Piezo work?
The print head fires ink droplets onto a surface by applying an electric charge to piezo-electric elements. This deformates the piezo-electric elements which propels the ink droplets instead of heating the ink like other printer manufacturers. This technology can also be used to eject heat-sensitive liquid materials.

Genuine Epson Ink Cartridges vs Compatible Ink Cartridges

Consumers who wanted to save on their expenses usually go for cheaper products that still have the same quality as the original products. The same thing goes for the ink cartridges that you use for your printers. It is still best to buy original ink cartridges but you should be prepared to pay higher amount for it.
With an Epson ink cartridges, you get a number of advantages such as a degree of image quality that no other Ink could produce. The high amount of quality changes quality photograph prints as if you’re building up real photographs. The advantage of using Epson Cartridge is its longevity. Epson inks are made to last longer than other inks of recognized brand name. So every time you print photograph images, you would ensure that you shouldn’t be printing it again and again. The photograph print last long and has less chance of fading. Also, Epson Cartridges ought not to be changed as many as other Inkjet Cartridges. It is just because it is very well known that Epson Ink Cartridges can print thirty percent more than any other Inkjet Cartridges.

Another good thing about the technology of Epson toner cartridges is the fact that the runs out colors can be substituted without the need of putting back the whole ink cartridge. The other colors that have not eventually run out yet may still be kept back. This way, the other would not be lost and may still be used to the optimum. In general, Epson cartridges have plenty of advantages in terms of quality and price. You will no longer require replacing the Epson ink cartridges as frequent as you may have using other brands.
The obvious advantage of a compatible cartridge is the low price. On average a non genuine cartridge is between 40 - 90% cheaper than it's brand name equivalent. Not only are they cheaper but almost all of the time the generic cartridge will contain considerably more ink than the genuine brand name cartridge.
Compatible ink cartridges are mostly water based and consist of pigments or dyes to achieve the individual colors as well as the black. Genuine inks on the other hand are oil based. This can be a problem if you are printing invoices etc as water based inks dry immediately where as oil based inks can take considerably longer to dry and they tend to smudge easily if the documents are handled before they have time to dry.

How to Manage Color for Sublimation printing?

Sublimation Printing requires white fabric with a high synthetic content to achieve the richest color. The more synthetic content, the more saturation of color you can achieve.
To sum up, color management is the process of managing colors so that they come out the way you expect them to and to make this consistent every time.  There are many variables in the process of printing.  This includes the inks, the printer and the canvas that have to be considered.  In sublimation printing, Color Management uses a color profile to profile the sublimation inks, the printer, and the canvas in order to achieve predictable color.  When we use the color profile, we keep all three of these variables consistent so that the final color output is consistent as well.  With color profiles, you are able to achieve more predictable results.  Most of the time, color management is used to match – as closely as possible – the colors that are printed out compared with what is shown on your screen.
What is a Color Profile?
A color profile is something that we create to convert colors more accurately.  When converting colors without a color profile a lot of inaccurate guessing is done by the computer.  By providing a profile, we eliminate much of the guesswork and if some guessing is required, the profile gives the computer more information to make a better informed guess than without a profile.  For instance if your third party inks tend to print colors a tiny bit more red, this information is given to the computer to adjust for the red tint when using a color profile.  In sublimation, when you buy sublimation inks from your supplier, they will normally provide you with either an ICC profile or a Power Driver (embedded color profiles are in the Power Driver).

Why is Color Management Necessary?
Without some form of color management, it would be very difficult to print anything that has color as you wouldn’t know the final result.  Without color management, it’s anyone’s guess how your image would come out on paper compared to the screen. Color Management basically takes out the guess work in printing.  With a profile, you know that the color you are seeing on the screen is more likely to be the same color that comes out on paper or on your substrate.

How does Sublimation paper printing for synthetic fabrics?

Sublimation Printing requires white fabric with a high synthetic content to achieve the
richest color. The more synthetic content, the more saturation of color you can achieve.

100% Polyester, Micro fiber and other synthetic fabric technology has come a long way in recent years - there are synthetic versions of just about every style of fabrics that can be printed.

Sublimation printing is still the industry standard for the best and brightest color on a wide range on synthetic fabrics. From Polytwill for soft signage or polyester for cost effective scatter cushions to the stretchiest Lycra for sportswear, our sublimation printing with deliver superb results every time. Up to 3.2 meters wide!
SUBLIMATION IS IDEAL FOR:
  • Soft Signage – Exhibition Graphics Flags and Banners
  • Home Furnishing – Sportswear & Fashion
  • Hard substrates   (wood, ceramics, glass) overprinted with polyester-based or polyammid-based coatings.

Our sublimation paper in general tends to oversaturate colors slightly. In most cases this is a good thing, more vibrant color is almost always preferred; but sublimation in many cases does not correspond exactly to what you see on screen (not to mention that everyone’s screen can look very different!)

We recommend that all new files are sampled before commencing any order. This way you can see exactly what your print is going to look like.

Comparison between dye sublimation printing and screen printing

Sublimation paper transfer print is widely used on polyester, satin and some other synthetic fibers. The sublimation dye actually penetrates the fibers and becomes part of the fabric. And nothing is felt! The high temperature during the printing also opens the pores of the polymer and allows the gas to enter. When the item is removed from the eat press, the temperature drops, the pores close and the gas reverts to a solid state. It has now become a part of the polymer. Sublimation print cannot be washed out or come off, unless the actual fibers or coating is damaged. This is why sublimation can't be done on natural materials, like 100 per cent cotton. Natural fibers and non-coated materials have no "pores"to open and so the dye just sits on top of the fabric.
Further, sublimation printing is done on white substrates. The reason for this is because the inks are actually transparent, when sublimated, and need a back ground to show up. White is the ideal background because it does not clash with the colors. Indeed, the white background actually enhances the colors.
Since its introduction back in 1907, screen printing has been the most commonly used printing method for custom T-shirts. Another common name for screen printing is silkscreen printing. In the start of this process, the artwork is first burned into the mesh screens. Next, you will load the screens to a printing machine and then add in the ink that will be used. Note that for screen printing, each color is printed separately so each color has its own mesh screen. The last step is to let ink on the T-shirts dry out.
Screen printing highly benefits from economies of scale, so the more T-shirts you print, the lesser the cost for the screen printing service. It is therefore more recommended for slightly bigger orders (often more than 10 T-shirts). Also, if you are having a simple design such as a logo or wordings, usually screen printing is the better choice.
However, Dye-sublimation print on polyester material does not affect the hand of the material and is more desirable than screen printing for home furnishing and wallpaper fabrics and the apparel industry. The colors are very vibrant, do not wash out and the process is less messy than screen printing, which requires messy solvents and dyes.
Sublimation is also very popular with sportswear manufacturers as many printed uniforms (cycle wear, soccer, basketball and lacrosse) on the market today are done via sublimation. Unlike screen printing, where the ink lays on top of the garment, the sublimation process produces permanent images that will not crack or fade. Also, sublimation infuses the image into the thread of the fabric so that it does not affect the breath ability of the garment. Most athletes prefer sublimated jerseys versus screen printing jerseys. Screen printing leaves a layer on top of the garment, which affects breath ability and the comfort of the athlete.

How to use offset sublimation ink?

The first part of the process is very simple and resembles exactly to normal process of Offset Printing. How do we offset print something on offset paper using offset printing machine?
You just need only 3 steps:
1.Put the image on paper(offset paper of 80 grams, different from sublimation paper)
Precisely in the same manner, we offset print the artwork (as mirror image) on the offset paper using sublimation offset ink . Please kindly note to that the pre-press of offset sublimation printing ink is little different from conventional offset printing ink .
2.Put the printed paper on substrates , such as polyester and nylon fabric .
After offset printing, put the printed paper on the surface of the substrates and with printed surface facing downwards on the surface of substrates .
3.Put both the paper and substrates on the heat press.
And heat ,time and pressure is applied using a heat press. The ink sublimates i.e. converts to gaseous form and gets deposited "into" the surface, thus transferring image.

2 . Schematic of use method of sublimation Offset Ink
Given below is a schematic of sublimation transfer printing ingredients which will help you understand it in a better sense.
1. Sublimation offset printing ink
2. An offset printing machine
various kinds offset printing machine are Available , such as single-color, dual-color and multi-color offset printing machine. Be able to adapt to the demand for middle-speed or high-speed printing.
3. offset paper or art paper
offset paper also known as glazed printing paper or wood free paper which does not absorb the ink and thus helps in transferring maximum ink onto the surface of the imprintable.
The more wood pulp in the  paper ,the better the effect of transfer printing .
 4. heat press ( use to supply heat and pressure )
A heat press is the machine that presses a transfer onto an imprintable substrate. Using high temperatures and heavy pressures for a certain amount of time, the transfer is permanently embedded  into the product.
5. imprintables - also known as substrates (the surface on which image is to be transferred). such as polyester fabric ,nylon fabric , t-shirts, hats, mouse pads, tote bags, mugs ,porcelain ,flags, aprons , Biking Jerseys , Team Uniforms and more.
