What role does Sublimation Protection Tissue Paper play?

Protection/tissue paper is a continuous thin paper used to separate cut-work or roll printed transfer paper and/or textile fabrics from belt (on a rotary calendar press) or pad (on a flatbed platen press). The Protection/tissue paper acts as a barrier to prevent excess dye-sublimated ink from contaminating the belt or pad.

Sublimation tissue paper (Sublimation protective paper) stop blow through of ink and it protects perfectly the calendar soft belt.
