What is the connection of sublimation printing and business
Dye sublimation paper is a special kind of paper and has been printed in a different format in which dyes has been used instead ink like inkjet printers or laser jet printers has been used. Inkjet printers are usually use CMYK colour spectrum whereas in dye sublimation printing CMYO colour spectrum has been used where the O represents a clear overprint which becomes black when exposed to the heat and pressure.Textile printing has of course been around for hundreds of years: in its modern form though it is very different from the woodcut prints of old. Modern textiles can be printed using digital printers, which are effectively inkjet printers whose modified technology allows the ink to be injected into the fabric (sublimation printing, literally the ink going in under the surface), or printed on top of the fibres.
The type of ink that you use when you perform textile printing is dictated by two things: the nature of the fabric you are printing to and the nature of the machine doing the printing. As a rough guide, disperse direct or sublimation inks are suitable for printing onto polyester fabrics; acid inks are best for silk or nylon; and reactive inks are used for fibres that have a cellulose base.
The major benefit of using digital printing technology for textile printing is repeatability (and of course the accuracy that goes with repeated runs of the same file). Once you have created a print job it can be stored in your printer, technically forever or until you run out of space and have to delete older work. This is ideal for companies that commission multiple runs of the same logo design (for example) on different t shirts €" and it's ideal for your printing business, too, as it means you don't need to keep repeating your work every time you get a new order from the same company. You just call up the existing job and re-print it. Digital textile printing is basically divided into direct garment printing; visual communication (like flags or banners; fashion; and interior decorating. As the technology has progressed since the early 1980s, sublimation printing has largely replaced transfer printing, which was the old method of using ink jet technology to print onto fabrics. Though there are still jobs and businesses that call for the transfer method €" in which a transfer, once printed, is rolled onto the fabric using a heat press.
In normal textile printing activities sublimation dyes and inks are the norm because they don't run so easily once they have been fixed. Rather than printing onto the fabric they (as noted at the start) are sublimated into it €" in other words the fibres are dyed with the appropriate colours in the appropriate patterns, to create the design that has been fed into the computer or software governing the printer.
Sublimation printing direct to the textile of the end product allows textile printing companies to save huge quantities of money by cutting down on unnecessary resources (such as transfer paper, which becomes a waste product once the heat press process is complete). Also, many sublimation inks are water based, which means they lack some of the harmful components of solvent or latex based ink products.
